THE DESIGNER
Jacques Deneef is an Antwerp-based designer with a fascination for basic materials such as glass, wood, leather, paper and wax. After entering the world of art via his talents in oil and acrylic painting, he now focuses his time giving used objects new leases of life, alongside design development in sectors such as jewellery, lighting, textile, furniture and decoration. In offering objects a new existence, Jacques believes they are transformed into something new, they are made useful in some other way, ultimately resolving into their final destination: a work of art.

Inspired by the Tabwa culture of Central Africa, this sideboard transforms contemporary wooden furniture into a unique piece of art. Carefully carved by artisans, it reflects the Tabwa culture's affection for linear geometric motifs. Every intricate detail of the Ancestors Tabwa Sideboard is meticulously hand-carved by skilled artisans, adding a touch of craftsmanship and uniqueness to each piece. Crafted from 100% FSC certified sustainably sourced teak from Indonesia, this entertainment console combines ethical sourcing with easy maintenance for enduring quality and environmental responsibility. This entertainment console boasts one flip-down door and one drawer, both crafted from solid teak, paired with a powder-coated black frame. This modern understated design adds a touch of elegance to any home decor. Regular wiping with lint-free cotton cloth or sponge in warm water with mild dishwashing soap solution to remove food and oil stains. Avoid strong and abrasive cleaning products that may cause permanent damage to the wood.
