Think of the mountains. Their sharp ridges and open spaces radiate freedom and movement. That’s where designer Alain van Havre found his inspiration for the Graphic collection: in a quest to add movement to the surface.
Motion and warmth are added by further perfecting the natural attributes of wood. The brushed black tainted teak reveals the grain of the wood and emphasises movement. Paradoxically, black also has the potential to reveal light.
Finding complexity in balance reflects well the designer’s personality. “It is a good reflection of who I am,” confesses Alain.

Alain van Havre brings a deep connection to natural materials and exceptional woodworking expertise. His designs blend timelessness with contemporary relevance, aiming to create forms that resonate with our natural environment. Over the past 20 years, Alain has played a pivotal role in influencing the Ethnicraft designs we know and love today.

The Graphic Sideboard from Ethnicraft is the perfect way to add a creative accent to your living areas. Features a striking triangular pattern designed by Alain van Havre, creating a layered, three-dimensional effect. Crafted from black-tainted solid FSC-certified teak wood. The teak varnish finish is carefully applied, offering a protective, smooth matte sheen that enhances the natural beauty of the teak wood, bringing out its rich, unique grain patterns. Wipe timber to remove dust and dirt with a dry cloth. Wipe spills immediately using a damp cloth and natural soap, ensure you wipe the surface along the grain of wood.
