Mud Australia
Founded by Shelley Simpson, Mud Australia’s porcelain is handmade in Mud's Sydney studio by a team of professional and skilled ceramicists. Each piece is designed to last and crafted using the best materials available including the porcelain which is imported from Limoges. Irregularities in size, glaze & texture, reflect the many human touches received during the making process and should be embraced.
The pigment tints the porcelain at the slip stage to provide colour depth. Clear glaze is then applied to the interior of each piece leaving the exterior with a vitrified stone-like surface that becomes smooth with handling and use.

The end result is a product to love, that perfectly combines a minimalist aesthetic with a clearly hand made finish while providing a soulful alternative to mass produced & highly manufactured ceramic design.
