THE DESIGNER
Ryota Yokozeki, formerly an industrial designer at Sony for 10 years, established his Tokyo design office in 2017 after graduating from Kanazawa College of Art. His work across furniture, products, and appliances prioritises user experience, earning international awards and a place in the Vitra Design Museum's permanent collection.
Similar to an elegant letter form, the Inlay dining chair has a curving plywood backrest that merges seamlessly with the solid wood arms and frame. The frame is crafted from solid timber with an oak veneer, combining a robust structure with a touch of refined elegance. The clear satin lacquer finish is meticulously applied, providing a protective, smooth matte sheen that enhances the wood's natural beauty, highlighting its unique grain patterns. The legs are crafted from solid oak timber, providing a sturdy and natural foundation for a timeless and elegant design. The seat of the chair is made from semi-aniline leather, offering a luxurious and refined touch to the overall design. The chair offers versatility with the option of either an upholstered or wood seat, allowing you to tailor it to your preferred style and comfort. Wipe leather to remove dust and dirt with a dry, clean microfibre cloth. Avoid using leather polishes and harsh cleaning agents as this might damage the finish of the aniline leather.
