The Weaving table is an Originals classic. It is a pity we only manage to get a couple of these tables a year.
These large primitive pieces are handmade using old teak and were originally used in tribal villages as weaving tables for women to weave fabric and socialise. Today they work as stunning statement coffee tables. You could either use a weaving table to complete a room or design your entire living space around the table. Its up to you! Its recycled nature ensures that the table is hard-wearing and almost indestructible. The weaving table is finished with a clear lacquer for a smooth, protective touch.

The Beauty of Solid Wood
Dining tables from our Nomad Village range are wholly dedicated to the natural beauty of aged teak wood. The beauty of natural materials lies in its peculiarities and imperfections. Variations in the wood grain, colour, knots and other natural characteristics are inherent. These are far from flaws, but an intricate part of its character. We believe that these authentic imperfections contribute to the charm of our products.
No veneered MDF has been used on this product. All the wood used for this dining table top is solid Teak timber. This makes the product far stronger, heavier and of a much higher quality. Solid teak timber is relatively easy to repair should it get chipped or damaged unlike a veneered surface. The whitewash also helps conceal marks and stains, making your dining table look great for many years.
No other wood shares teak's exceptional strength and durability. Its resilience is due to its dense structure and high oil content.
Variations in the grain, colour, and knots are inherent to all authentic timber ensuring each piece of furniture has its own unique natural characteristics. We believe that these characteristics bring the piece to life.
Following these simple guidelines to care for your teak piece will keep it looking its best.
- Wipe timber to remove dust and dirt with a dry cloth.
- Try to wipe spills immediately with a damp cloth and if needed, natural soap.
