In Zimbabwe's northwest, Tonga women weave baskets out of grass, reeds, and palm fronds. These baskets, which were formerly used for winnowing grain, can be usefully utilised for bread or fruit or they can be used as wall decorations. Hard vine and ilala palm are used to weave the baskets that bear the town of Binga's name.
