The Beauty of Solid Wood

No veneered MDF has been used in this product. All the wood is solid timber. Solid timber makes the product far stronger, heavier and of a much higher quality. It is also easier to repair should it get damaged.

No other wood shares teak's exceptional strength and durability. Its resilience is due to its dense structure and high oil content.
Variations in the grain, colour, and knots are inherent to all authentic timber ensuring each piece of furniture has its own unique natural characteristics. We believe that these characteristics bring the piece to life.
Following these simple guidelines to care for your teak piece will keep it looking its best.
Teak Regular Care
Our Ethnicraft Teak Collection is designed without a lacquer or oil finish. The wood is hand polished, allowing the natural oils to rise to the surface. The density of teak wood makes the surface naturally resistant against stains.
Regular wiping with lint-free cotton cloth or sponge in warm water with mild dishwashing soap solution to remove food & oils stains. Fine grit sand paper can be used to remove any surface scratches. Avoid strong & abrasive cleaning products that may cause permanent damage to the wood.
Timber will react to its environmental conditions. It is best to avoid extreme variations in temperature and humidity. The colour of the timber will naturally change over time; extreme exposure to UV light, such as placing your piece in direct sunlight, will quicken this process.
Teak Deep Care
We know that accidents are unavoidable and sometimes your piece might need a little more help. We offer a complimentary annual refinishing service with any purchase of our sideboard. If you have tough stains or scratches, please contact us and we will be happy to assist.
