The shields originate from Cameroon and carved out of one piece of wood. Cameroon has approximately 240 ethnic groups, and this particular was believed to be made by the Fang people, by local artisans. Traditionally, shields were used for defense, ceremonies and dances, but today they also serve symbolic and decorative purpose. We like to celebrate the history behind it. Ideal for wall mounted display.

Our love for unique, high quality, and environmentally-sustainable home furnishings inspired us in curating our Nomad Tribe range. Steeped in the rich visual traditions of the African continent, each of these handcrafted items highlights the beauty of natural materials and their textures.
We source from local artisans across a number of countries including Malawi, Zimbabwe, Cameroon, Swaziland, Tonga and Burkina Faso just to name few. The original pieces we source are then repaired and restored in South Africa.
Quality comes first; our products are designed and built to last.
