Teak Dining Table Whitewash | Java A-Frame White Base

The Nomad Village teak dining table features a table top made of beautifully old teak sourced from rural Java. Our carpenters carefully select each teak plank and hand-join them using traditional woodworking techniques to form these one of a kind, amazing dining table top. Each table top is whitewashed and then sealed with a hardwearing clear matt lacquer for protection and easy maintenance.

For a balanced contemporary look, we pair the table top with a rust-resistant powder coated steel A-frame bases. The combination of the contrasting materials adds style to any dining room, without losing warmth, character, or authenticity.

Our powder coated steel steel bases are available in White, Black or other custom colours.

The Beauty of Old Teak

Dining tables from our Nomad Village range are wholly dedicated to the natural beauty of old teak wood. We love the warmth and richness of old solid teak - the way it deepens as it ages and takes on a patina as the years pass by. It feels like satin, smooth and soft to the touch. Each dining table is unique and will add character and style to your dining room. we spend time carefully working with the wood, hand-crafting it to highlight the intricacies in the grain and natural knots and marks that make every piece unique. The beauty of natural materials lies in its peculiarities and imperfections. Variations in the wood grain, colour, knots and other natural characteristics are inherent. These are far from flaws, but are an intrinsic part of its character. We believe that these authentic imperfections contribute to the charm of our products.

No veneered MDF has been used on this product. All the wood used for this dining table top is solid Teak timber. This makes the product far stronger, heavier and of a much higher quality. Solid teak timber is relatively easy to repair should it get chipped or damaged unlike a veneered surface. The whitewash also helps conceal marks and stains, making your dining table look great for many years.

Powder Coated Frame

Powder coating is a safe, dry finishing process that uses finely ground particles of pigment and resin to create a protective finish on steel frames. When applied to steel, powder coating provides a protective barrier against moisture and humidity that helps prevent corrosion and rust. It does not crack, peel, or corrode, and is easy to maintain and touch up if damaged.

Each piece of teak is ethically sourced, from old buildings and structures that have been torn down to be replaced by modern developments or through FSC approved supply chains.
