Unfinished timber allows the beauty of the grain to take centre stage. For regular care, wipe the surface with a damp (lint-free) cloth. For oil and food stains use a solution of mild dishwashing liquid and water. Wipe the entire piece down with the soapy solution and follow with a clean dry cloth. Do not leave liquid to sit on the timber surface as it will penetrate and may cause staining. For stubborn stains or scratches, use extra-fine sandpaper (minimum 320 grit) to sand in the direction of the grain.

Timber is a natural product that will respond to its environmental conditions, we recommend you try to avoid sudden extreme variations in temperature. To protect the surface from heat, always use a trivet or a coaster underneath hot plates, pans, or mugs.
